Croatia’s Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, stated in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 4 of Arabian Gulf Cup between Al Ain and Al Dhafra that he is expecting a tough match against Al Dhafra. He pointed out: “We always expect a strong tough match prior playing it regardless the name of the opponent or their place in the standing table in all various competitions. Al Dhafra presented themselves very well in their recent matches in the Arabian Gulf League. This means that we must be in our best conditions and boost our levels of concentration. Indeed, we have to play easy style to be able to perform well as we did during our previous match against Al Jazira in the matchweek 3 of the Gulf Cup.”

Commenting on a question on playing at Tahnoon bin Mohammed Stadium after 4 years of the last match the team played there, he said: “It is great to come back to play at Al Qattara Stadium after a long time. I knew that the field is great, and I hope players will enjoy playing there and perform well to achieve the best and required result.”

As for Rayyan’s status following his injury, he said: “Rayyan is still receiving his medical treatment in preparation to return to the team following his injury. He suffered from an injury in thigh muscle last month and there was no adequate time for healing and rehabilitation. I believe that the FIFA days and suspending matches of the league is an advantage and will give us more time to prepare him for the coming matches.”
