Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, emphasized that his team was the closest into claiming victory vs Al Nasr Club, yet the match was over with positive draw (1-1). He also pointed out that The Boss made enough scoring attempts to secure match’s final result, before taking the competing team’s goal that did not come out of a clear scoring attempt.

During the post-match evaluative press conference, the Serbian head coach of Al Ain Club explained that his team wasted 3 clear scoring attempts, which happened previously in Al Ain Club’s match vs Al Jazira Club during the past round of competitions. He also emphasized over the importance of elevating the level of mental concentration and discipline, as well as boosting effectiveness on the forward line of play during the final third of match’s lifespan.

Al Ain Club’s head coach added that losing concentration during specific moments could change match’s playtime, he also stressed over the necessity of maintaining the mental readiness all along match’s lifespan, especially during the decisive moments that require the highest degrees of attention.

The Serbian coach pointed out that Al Ain Club was capable of showing a powerful personality and rigorous fighting spirit, where the team was capable of returning and scoring the equalizer despite the difficult circumstances. He also considered that claiming only one point in such situations represents a positive result that reflects his team’s players commitment inside the pitch.

So, he said the following statement: “Our sought after goal was to claim victory from the beginning, but in football we may sometimes be facing certain circumstances, in which claiming only one point is considered a positive result. Our team players were fighting until the final moment and showed a powerful personality.”

Ivić emphasized that some individual behaviors that affected match’s playtime must not happen again, he also explained that the collective responsibility and discipline represent the basis for his team’s success, so he added the following statement: “Al Ain Club is bigger than me and any other individual in the team’s ecosystem, while everyone are required to protect the team and work for its best interest.”
