Al Ain Club was successful in setting a new historical record in the memory of ADNOC Pro League football tournament, when the team reach 29 matches in a row without any defeats (which is 21 victories and 8 draws), so they bypassed the previous record set by the name of Al Jazira Club (which was 28 matches in a row). This record was set after claiming a thrilling victory over its guest Shabab Al Ahli Club with the score of 3-2. Al Ain Club claimed this victory in the big match that brought the two teams together on today’s evening on the green pitch of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, during the 22nd round of competitions of the local tournament.
“The Boss” raised its aggregate up to 56 points, so they fortified their lead on the top position of the tournament’s standings table, they also managed to extend the margin up to 4 points to the closest competing team, while the aggregate of Shabab Al Ahli Club stopped at 52 points on the second position on the tournament’s standings table.
Al Ain Club was successful in imposing its advantage from the first minutes of match’s first half by high pressure and fast transformations, they also managed to threaten the net of the guest team by an early scoring attempt by Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, who is the team’s international Togolese forward player, in the minute of 8.
