Hernán Crespo: We are required to compete to claim the titles of all local and offshore tournaments
Our season is extraordinary and we are always in need for the support of Al-Ain fans who are the best, the biggest, and the most influential
My concentration is only focused on preparing my team and I do not have that great amount of information over Ittihad Kalba and I do have respect for all competitors
Hernán Crespo, the Argentine manager of Al-Ain, said that his team will be taking on an extraordinary season which will not be easy, because we will be competing to claim the title of three new tournaments, starting with Continents Cup, onward to AFC Champions League for the elite, and ending with the Clubs World Cup, as well as the local tournaments. So, we are in a dire need for the support of our fans and to have great amount of patience, so we might be facing some challenges and the most important thing is that we show our capability in competing to claim the title of all tournaments.
Over how ready the club’s new players are to take on tomorrow’s match, he said: “We will not be engaging Fabio Cardoso in tomorrow’s match. Moreover, Matías Segovia has trained with us, as well as Khalid Batti and Sékou Baba Gassama, and those players have participated in some friendly matches, so on the personal level I am feeling very happy over the new contracts. Now, I will not forget to seize the opportunity to extend my gratitude to the players who were with us during the past season and were transferred to other clubs after they have contributed with us in claiming the continental accomplishment during an exceptional season. Currently, we think of making new history with the new members who are available in the current list of players.”
Over his team’s match vs Ittihad Kalba on tomorrow, he said: “There is no such thing as an easy match in the realm of football, and during the past season Ittihad Kalba performed very well against us, in addition to that the competing team have made some changes on the level of the coaching administration and we do not have that great amount of information over the team. So, my concentration is always focused on preparing my team and I think that tomorrow’s match will contribute in preparing the team with the most appropriate manner for the local Pro League tournament.”
