The international goalkeeper of Al-Ain and our national football team, Khalid Essa, started the introductory press conference for his team’s match vs Khor Fakkan during the competitions of the local ADNOC Pro League, by congratulating everyone over the onset of the new football season, as well as asking Al-Mighty Allah to assist and guide the path of everyone, and each one from his position as clubs, fans, media, and everyone who is affiliated to the sports ecosystem in the country.
Over the positive vibes which accompanied his team’s preparations for the new season, he said: “The truth is that the positive vibes are not only limited to the preparations, the team, or the club’s employees, but they are everywhere in the city of Al-Ain, after the team have managed to claim the title of AFC Champions League, which is something that contributed to make the ambitions even higher, so everyone is following up with the current big changes as well as the notable improvement on all of the administrative and coaching levels, and even on the level of the media center, so Al-Ain the club and the team is moving and rising up to higher horizons.”
He went on: “The support from the team’s presidency and the special instructions to provide all the team’s needs, as well as the constant follow up and support in light of the new contracts, accordingly I think that they have all contributed in achieving an abundance on the level of substitutes benches and the team’s current group of players in consistency with the ambitions to compete to claim the title of every tournament.”
Over the great pressure that Al-Ain’s goalkeeper faces out of the reality of his experience and in light of the challenges that are ahead of his team, who is competing to claim the title of more than six local and offshore tournaments, he said: “As long as you are a player in a big club in the country or on the world’s level, so you are required to deal with the pressure and show great concentration because carelessness is something not acceptable in big clubs and we are up to the responsibility as junior and senior players.”
