Al Ain is ready to take on their match vs Hatta in the competition to claim the title of the most precious of all tournaments

Hernán Crespo: We have adopted the balance in work policy for the sake of the present and the future of the club

I have full confidence in all members of my team and we are ready to compete to claim the title of all tournaments.

We will not be seeking excuses due to the absence of some players and I will be granting the opportunity to those players who played fewer minutes in the official matches.

Hernán Crespo, the Argentine manager of Al Ain, emphasized that his team’s preparations to take on their match vs Hatta in the round of 16 of the President Cup football tournament are going very well, explaining: “Our soughtafter goal in this precious tournament is clear, where we are looking forward to competing to claim the important title, while we are well aware of what is required from us to clarify what is the difference between us and all competing teams.”

Commenting on a question about how annoyed he is over the absence of some players, especially some “international” players on the day after tomorrow’s match, he said: “Certainly, the absence of some players is always a source of annoyance for the coaching staff, but in the end we are well aware that this is something possible due to “the calendar” of the season, especially for us, because we are competing in several tournaments, starting with the President Cup, ADNOC Pro League, AFC Champions League for the elite, and the Intercontinental Cup, so we have to be up to the challenge with the required concentration, especially that we are taking on the challenge in all of those tournaments before the upcoming stoppage period. We also have to be up to the required state of readiness to win the challenges, while the President Cup football tournament is very important as I have already mentioned to you, so we will be granting the opportunity to those players who played for fewer minutes in the official tournaments in order to perform their best, while my confidence in high in all of my team members.”

In response to a question about the average age of his team players, who are mostly young players compared to the great ambitions for the champion club of the AFC Champions League for the current season, he said: “The average age is not an excuse, while the absence of some players is also not an excuse for the big clubs. We do have experienced players who are also on high level, and this is the needed balance. The average age for the young players at the club is also a positive and important indicator that confirms to which extent the club is concerned over the present and the future, and in the current season we are better than the last year.”

He went on: “We are working to perform our best and to claim big results in line with the ambitions of the club’s administration, as well as the aspirations of the club’s fans, so we are required to show up the spirit of triumph and to adopt an attacking strategy, while at the same time not ignoring the balance policy on the pitch, because the competing teams are also looking forward to leverage on any possible mistake. We lost two matches in the current season, but we did not deserve to sustain defeat in those two matches in teams of the language of numbers and performance on the pitch, so I invite everyone to stay calm because we are getting better, taking into consideration that there are players who are coming from different atmospheres and they are gradually adapting with the team, while there are several matches ahead of us to reassure our deservedness of all titles.”
