I’m one of Al Ain fans before being a player
Khaled Al Hashimi: Al Ain players’ mindset is solid, professional and accustomed to dealing with pressures
I double my efforts in training and gym and am ready to defend the Boss “Al Zaeem” badge
The mutual appreciation between me and the fans will remain a great honor forever
The UAE and Al Ain “international” defender, Khaled Al Hashimi, emphasized that his team’s task against Dibbah Al Hisn will not be easy, which is consistent with the reality of football logic that there is no easy match, explaining at the same time:
“We definitely look forward to strengthening our position on the league standings, due to our loss of some points and despite the postponed matches due to its external participation. We ask God Almighty for success and guidance.”
Commenting on a question about his absence from participating as a starter in the official matches due to injury and after reaching the level of readiness, he said: “Actually, there are positive and negative aspects to a football player not participating as a starter. The positive aspect is that he is required to double his efforts during training and gym to reach the highest levels of readiness and whenever the team needs him, he demonstrates the required level that is consistent with his personal ambitions, the coach and fans. As for the negative aspect, it is that the football player considers the pitch as his primary source of his living and he is required to improve. This can only be achieved by participating in games, correcting mistakes and developing his performance. On the bench, he will certainly miss those elements, but I’m ready to participate with the team whenever the coach calls me.”
Responding to a question about whether the pressurized schedule experienced by the team participating in several external tournaments, particularly the “international” players, was a factor of some drops, he said: “Al Ain is a team accustomed to pressures and taking up the biggest challenges in various tournaments, and its players’ mindset is solid and professional. I believe this is considered normal compared to European clubs. We, as “international” players, live in fair pressures compared to European players when traveling and playing matches.”
“I believe that three days are enough to recover from the tension of matches and travel. We suffer from fatigue and pressures, but a football player is required to possess the necessary elements that help him confront all challenges. We look forward to improving our performance and results away from thinking about the logic of pressurized matches as a reason for the team’s declining results.”
Regarding the password behind the mutual appreciation between him and Al Ain fans, he said: “Actually, love and mutual appreciation are a gift from God Almighty to His servants. I thank my God very much for granting me the appreciation of the best fan base. Al Ain fans realize very well that Khaled is an Al Ain fan before being a player and has loved this entity since childhood. This is the common thing between us in addition to hard work, sacrifice, and the spirit of fighting for our badge. We ask God for success and guidance for everyone.”
