Al Ain head coach shared his thoughts with the players over the past ten days

Leonardo Jardim, the Portuguese manager of Al Ain, said that his team’s preparations to take on their match vs Al Urooba are going very well, in line with the absence of the “international” players due to their participation with the national football teams during the current stoppage period, those players who are scheduled to return to the team’s ranks on today and tomorrow. I have also summoned some players from the U23 team in order to join the training sessions. I believe that past ten days went very well, where we shared our thoughts with the players.
Commenting on the question over how knowledgeable he is with the team of Urooba football club, he said: “Of course, we were keen to analyze the performance of the competing team and we have a dedicated team specialized in such analysis. Currently, we are working to arrange our situation in order to show up with a satisfying performance, that will lead us into realizing our sought after goal which is to claim victory and to return with the match’s three points with all due respect to the ambitions of the team of Al Urooba football club.”
In response to a question over how ready the international players are to participate in the team’s upcoming match vs Al Urooba, on the day after tomorrow, he said: “Certainly, I am not fully aware of the condition of “international” players, but I am following up with the matches where they play for their national football teams. As for Soufiane Rahimi, on yesterday, he participated with the Moroccan national football team for 65 minutes, as for Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba he did not participate in the most recent match, regarding the remaining players I will watch them today, before I settle, on tomorrow, on the final decision regarding their participation in our upcoming match.”
Over the defensive issues Al Ain have always been facing during the current season, he said: “I agree with you that there are some issues on defensive side of football, but if we wish to address this issue on the defensive line of play, then we have to strike the required balance on the level of all lines of play on the pitch, and we are a powerful and organized team who is capable of scoring goals, while we are required at the same time to bolster our strength on the defensive side of football in order to protect our net from receiving goals.”
Leonardo Jardim concluded his speech with a message to the fans of Al Ain, saying: “We are in a great need for your support during all of our upcoming matches, while our concentration at the moment is focused on claiming the title of the local ADNOC Pro League, so we have to show up with a powerful performance because we are Al Ain, the big football team, who is required to compete to claim the title of all tournaments, accordingly we have to show up our true power, a well as our powerful personality together as one family and a one team.”
