“The Boss” has been crowned with the title of LEWA international football tournament
Al Ain U23 football team has been crowned with the title of LEWA international football tournament, which had been organized by Al Dhafrah football club under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi sports council. The tournament took place during the period that spans from the 21th to the 28th of the current month of December. The coronation of “The Boss” came after claiming victory in the tournament’s final match over the Al Wahda football club with the score of 2-0. This victory came after the match that took place on today’s evening on the pitch of Al Dhafrah’s Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan stadium.
Al Ain’s two goals were scored by Eisa Khalfan Zayed Barout Al Harasi in the minutes of 10 and 24, leading his team to claiming the title of this football tournament.
The coronation ceremony was attended by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, who is a member at the board of directors of Al Ain football company, while Hamdan Saif Al Masouri, who is the chairman of the board of directors of Al Dhafrah football club, honored the champion team, with the attendance of Hamad Khamis Al Mansouri, who is the chairman of the board of directors of Al Dhafrah’s football company and the chairman of the tournament’s organizing committee.
The Boss journey through the tournament
It is worth mentioning that Al Ain football club started their journey through the tournament by claiming a deserved victory over Al Kholoud football club of Saudi Arabia, who is a football team at “ROSHN” Pro League, with the score of 2-0. In the second match, Al Ain bolstered their lead on the top of the second group by claiming victory over Al Jazira U23 football team with the score of 2-1.
During their matches through the tournament, Al Ain scored six goals and their net received only one goal, which reflects the strength of the defense line and the cohesion of the collective performance.

Al Ain forward player, Eisa Khalfan Zayed Barout Al Harasi, won the tournament’s top scorer title by scoring two goals, equalizing Bani Yas player, Saif Saleh. While the remaining goals for Al Ain football club were scored by Ahmed Hijazi, Kawa Bastian, Rilwanu Haliru Sarki, and Khalid Al Hassani
