Leonardo Jardim: We have committed mistakes on the defensive side of football which resulted in receiving two goals in our net.. I am also responsible for being knocked out of the Asian football tournament

Leonardo Jardim, who is the Portuguese head manager of Al Ain first football team, said that his team’s match vs Al Rayyan football club of Qatar was balanced, to a great extent, in terms of play, but Al Ain football club of the United Arab Emirates had committed mistakes on the defensive side of football which resulted in receiving two goals in the team’s net.

In response to a question over Al Ain football club of the United Arab Emirates being knocked out of all of the football tournaments within this sporting season, Leonardo Jardim explained by saying the following statement: “In my opinion, I think that we were not capable of making great changes up until now, despite the slight advance which we were capable of making within the local ADNOC Pro League football tournament.”

The Portuguese head manager spoke about the injury of his team’s forward player Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, so he explained by saying the following statement: “Our forward player sustained an injury in the adductor muscle when he was heating up to join our team’s ranks. Before that time, he was in a good shape, so we had to substitute him to avoid making his injury even worse.”

Over taking the responsibility for his team being knocked out of the AFC Champions League for the Elite football tournament, Leonardo Jardim said the following statement: “Of course, I will be taking the responsibility upon my shoulders. Because any football coach is responsible for the bad results of his team, but sometimes claiming titles of football tournaments is attributed to the players.”
