Vladimir Ivić: We apologize to fans.. While being short in players affected team’s performance

Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian football manager of Al Ain first football team, expressed his apologies to his team’s fans on behalf of his players, emphasizing that they performed their best as long as 65 minutes despite being short in players, they also showed strong desire to maintain their lead and to keep up with directions, but they were not lucky in claiming a positive result, so he felt sorry for them.

In response to a question over the given red card and its impact on the forward line of play during match’s second half, Ivić explained:

“In match’s second half, it is natural to see the rival team staring with a forward style of play, especially we were in the lead and we were short in players. Al Wahad managed to create two scoring chances with the onset of match’s second half, but we worked according to directions and showed great discipline, while our players did their best to maintain their lead despite being short in player.”

Al Ain head coach added the following statement: “With the passage of time, our players were exhausted, so I made some substitutions. As you already know, Laba was absent for three weeks due to injury, and currently we have only two forward player. We have enough period of time to prepare and we have to work hard to improve our performance and to develop our style of play in our upcoming matches.”
