Ivić: There is no room for wasting any more points, as for Al Ain fans, they are considered an integral part of the team’s success story
Our players are well aware of their duties and responsibilities on the level of all lines of play
Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, emphasized on the importance of full concentration while his team plays through its upcoming matches, he also confirmed that Al Ain has no chance to waste any points during the upcoming stages of competitions of the local ADNOC Pro League football tournament.
Through his remarks during the pre-match introductory press conference for his team’s match vs Al Urooba football team, Ivić said the following statement: “Our preparations to take on our upcoming match are going on as per the usual arrangements, where we, first of all, are concentrating over improving the output of our team, then we do analyze our competing team’s performance. We are also well aware of Al Urooba’s position on the tournament’s standings table, but we are required to play with full concentration starting from the match’s kick off up until the final whistle, including the potential added minutes through the extra time, which may possibly extend the match up to 100 minutes of play. So, we have to adopt a serious style of play and to show the strong desire to perform very well on the pitch.”
In his remarks over his team’s improved performance through their most recent match, the Serbian head coach said the following statement: “Certainly, there will always be room for improvement in our performance, so we are continuously working on this matter. In my opinion, I think that our most recent match was the best we played through this sporting season in terms of the overall performance, even though we were not able to claim the match’s three points, which we deserved to claim. The same applies on our match vs Dibbah Al Hisn football team, where we created many scoring chances and performed very well. Accordingly, we should have claimed six points out of those two matches, so we are continuously working to improve our performance, as I have already told you.”
Over playing vs those football teams who are not competing to occupy the advanced positions on the tournament’s standings table, Ivić acknowledged that his team did waste some points when they played through those matches, so he said the following statement:“We did waste several points through those matches. But, the matter is not related to competing teams’ level of play, on the contrary, it is related to our overall performance. So, we have to concentrate more while we play, then we have to start our matches with more enthusiasm and seriousness starting form the match’s kick off, we are also required not to waste any points out of our upcoming matches.”
At the conclusion of his speech, Ivić sent a message of gratitude to the fans of Al Ain, so he said the following statement: “I would like to extend my gratitude to the fans of Al Ain over their continuous support to the team. I would say that we are here to perform our best on a daily basis with our players. While every football manager seeks to be triumphant, and this is not an easy task to fulfill, but we are working hard to build a powerful and a competitive team, whose first sought after goal is to claim the club’s sought after goals.Accordingly, we are moving through the right path, as for our players, they have already started to understand their roles and their responsibilities on the level of all lines of play.We will keep working on the same level of perseverance in order to claim the best results.”
