Vladimir Ivić: We lost our concentration through the final minutes of the match lifespan and we have to learn how to play in order to claim the positive results
Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, expressed his dissatisfaction over the defeat of his team in their match vs Manchester City football club of the United Kingdom with the result of 0-6. This defeat came in the second match for Al Ain football club through the competition race of the FIFA Clubs World Cup 2025 football tournament. He also pointed out that his team was short in concentration and discipline through the last 10 minutes of the match’s lifespan.
During the post-match press conference, Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, said the following statement: “When your team is defeated with these two heavy results in two consecutive matches such as 5-0 and 6-0, then there will be no speaking over satisfaction. We are well aware how powerful our competing teams are, we are also well aware of the differences between us, even though we cannot be happy. However, I commend our performance on the defensive side of football, as well as the positive transitions we made when we won the ball back. What happened in the last ten minutes of the match’s lifespan was not normal, where we lost our concentration after the minute 82, despite that everyone was well aware of their assigned roles, even the substitute players were well aware of their assigned roles.”
Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, added the following statement: “Up until the minute of 80 we were playing with discipline, while Manchester City football club did not make many scoring chances and scored three goals from fixed position balls. However, through the last 10 minutes of the match lifespan, everything changed, so we have to review ourselves and understand why this did happen after all.”
Over the upcoming match vs Wydad Athletic Club, Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, said the following statement: “The upcoming match will no be easy. This match will not vs Manchester City football club nor Juventus football club, rather, it will be vs a fighting football team who knows how to play for the sake of claiming the positive result, and this is what I have noticed through their first match. We have to learn how to play with this mindset, as well as to concentrate in order to claim the positive result.”
