Ivić: Al Ain Club’s canceled goal was legitimate…And victory reflects our team’s strong commitment and its unwavering determination

It is too early to speak about the leading position on the tournament’s standings table.. And Al Ain Club is one of the biggest football teams on the level of the Asian continent and the most decorated club with titles on the level of the country

Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, expressed his cheerfulness over claiming this important victory in his team’s top match today, he also emphasized that his players manifested powerful fighting spirit and an unwavering determination to claim victory thanks to the powerful fans support.

During the post-match evaluative press conference, the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team said the following statement: “During the match’s first half Shabab Al Ahli Club was the team who possessed the ball the most, they were also successful in creating some scoring chances. We were also capable of creating several decisive scoring chances, the most dangerous of which is the ball shot by Kodjo Fo‑Doh Laba, who is the Togolese forward player for Al Ain first football team, in addition to a legitimate goal I believe that it should have never been canceled for being a foul, taking into consideration that I have reviewed the replay and I could not see any fouls.”

Al Ain Club’s head coach added the following statement: “During the match’s second half our team’s overall performance greatly improved, as we were capable of dominating the match’s playtime and did not allow the competing team to create any decisive scoring chances, except for a shot that rebounded off the post and a penalty kick. We were capable of scoring a magnificent goal from an organized strike, we also managed to create several other scoring chances among which the ball shot by Matías Damián Palacios, who is the Argentine central midfielder for Al Ain first football team, that rebounded off the post.”

The Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, clarified with the following statement: “We made a slight change to our style of play during the match’s second half, we have also corrected some mistakes we committed during the match’s first half. I also made two early substitutions out of necessity, then I made other substitutions that granted our team more stabilization on the pitch. With the passage of time our team players started to restore confidence, like Kaku, Palacios, Laba, Traoré, and Erik, granting us a powerful push forward and started to paly according to the style we know.”

Ivić went to discuss the team’s position on the tournament’s standings table, so he said the following statement: “Assuming the top position on the tournament’s standings table on the time being means nothing, as we are the biggest football club within the country and the most decorated club with titles. But we are playing according to the principle of match by match, so we cannot be speaking on the time being over any other bigger matters. The upcoming match will always be the most important for us.”

Ivić concluded his remarks emphasizing that calming victory represents a powerful push forward for his team to keep working and claiming more positive results in its journey through the competition race of the current season.
