Al Ain coach, Vladimir Ivić, emphasized that Al Ain is well-prepared for their match Sharjah in the first leg of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup quarter-finals, stating that the Boss “Al Zaeem” is going through an ideal period, delivering strong performances and achieving excellent results in various tournaments. This requires the players to maintain higher concentration and continue working hard to perform in a manner consistent with Al Ain brand and stature.

During the introductory press conference of the match, Ivićstated that: “We’re well aware that our match against Sharjah will not be easy as we face an excellent team and respect their ambitions. Despite our positive results recently, we’re required to be more focused and prepared. We’ve a definite goal in each match: To win and deliver the best performance as possible.”

The Serbian coach added that our preparations had gone as planned over the past few days, explaining that the team had worked on all technical and tactical aspects, and said: “We’ve two matches against Sharjah in the ADIB Cup tournament, starting with an away match, but that does not change anything in our ambition. Triumphs are our constant goal, and this requires our commitment, discipline, and complete dedication from all of us throughout the match.”

Ivić spoke about the password of the team’s high level of discipline this season, emphasizing that the secret lies in teamwork, stating that: “Football embodies the teamwork, and when you have such a wide range of players, you’ve to blend them into one team that works with a common spirit. Each player in the team realizes his role well and puts the team’s interest above everything else. This is the essence of discipline upon which we’re working daily and which is reflected upon our performance in the matches.”

Al Ain coach also praised the professional system inside Al Ain Club, particularly in terms of the players’ injuries and their return thereafter, stating that: “Since the very beginning, we believe that Al Ain should compete for all tournaments. Our performance is good, but we always seek for improvements. We’ve some players who have recently returned from injury, and others are still in the treatment phase, but we’ve an integrated system, starting with the medical staff, through fitness and recovery, and ending with the technical staff. All of us work in a highly organized manner to prepare the players optimally and without any risk.”

Ivić concluded his statement by emphasizing his confidence in his players, stating that: “We possess an excellent group and each player is entrusted with a crucial role. We trust in their capabilities and commitment, and work together to reflect the best image of Al Ain Club in every match.”
