Al Ain Club’s head coach says that they will not playing only for draw… We also reject the idea of (slackness) in all matches we play

Ivić: We do not rely on the result of the first leg match… We also have full respect for the sought after ambitions of Sharjah Club in the upcoming second leg match

We have in possession a squad that accepts nothing more than victory… Which boosts my trust in my team

Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, emphasized that his team’s second leg match vs Sharjah Club through the quarter finals round of competitions of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup “ADIB” will be totally different than the first leg match of the same round of competitions, he also emphasized at the same time that his team is required to deliver a more powerful performance than what was shown in their most recent match vs Al Jazira Club in the ADNOC Pro League football tournament.

During the pre-match introductory press conference, Vladimir Ivić said the following statement: “We managed to deliver a good performance during the first leg match vs Sharjah Club, but we need to show up with a more powerful performance during the second leg match. We are also not considering that the 3-1 result is enough for us, and we will not be playing only for draw with all due respect for the competing team’s sought after ambitions.

The Serbian head coach explained that the daily workout is the basis for preparing the team on the psychological and technical levels, so he said the following statement: “We refuse the idea of slackness, so we have to be at full readiness starting from the match’s kick-off. And if we need to qualify to the next round of competitions, we have to deliver our best performance.”

The head coach of Al Ain first football team spoke about the circumstances of his team’s most recent match vs Al JaziraClub, so he emphasized that the absence of the international players and the difficulty of their return before the match’s kick-off influenced harmony within the team’s ranks, then he added the following statement: “We had to rely on some players and deploy them in different positions other than in which they play due to the absence of some key players, but the most important matter now is that we are working together all along the week and we are restoring our state of readiness.”
Al Ain Clubs head coach concluded his remarks with the following statement: “We have in possession a squad that does not accept other than victory, regardless of who the competing team is and regardless of which tournament they are competing through, so this is something that grants me great confidence and satisfaction.”
