Ivić: I am not satisfied with my team’s performance despite claiming victory over Baniyas Club
Match’s three points do not prevent feedback… While work continues to improve performance
Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, said that he is not satisfied with the level of the overall performance by his team during today’s match vs its host Baniyas Club, despite claiming victory with the score of 3-2. He also emphasized that the absence of energy and vitality affected playing momentum, especially during match’s first half.
During the post-match evaluative press conference, Al Ain Club’s head coach explained that this scenario is not new to Al Ain Club, citing the previous match vs Al Nasr Club, when his team players showed a powerful personality and high level fighting spirit, despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, which reflects the positive response in the difficult situations.
He added that the team tried to impose its style of play during match’s first half, but they lacked the required energy which is considered one of the fundamental pillars in moder football, he also emphasized that the coaching staff will be working to address the mental and technical aspects, with concentration to improve the reaction after raking a goals, so we can guarantee never to lose momentum during match’s early stages.
The Serbian head coach stressed that the team cannot spare the first 45 minutes with the same way that took place. He also explained that what is meant by loss here is not the final result, rather, it is to losing the mental presence and effectiveness inside the pitch, which we will be working to address during the upcoming period.
