Al Ain Club hosts a workshop on Refereeing and the Laws of the Game
Al Ain Club hosted a workshop on “Refereeing and the Laws of the Game”, organized by the UAE Pro League in cooperation with the Referees Committee of the UAE Football Association, as part of efforts to develop football and raise the awareness of the laws among clubs.
The workshop has been administrated by Mr. Leo Probert, Director of Refereeing Department at the UAE Football Association, who reviewed the most prominent and latest amendments to the laws of the game, with a special focus on players’ safety and the importance of applying law fairly and evenly.
The workshop witnessed a remarkable interaction from the participants, including the First Team players and the technical and administrative staff, who praised the interactive style and valuable information presented in the workshop.
This workshop is held within the framework of the vision of the Pro League and the UAE Football Association to promote the legal awareness among clubs and players, for enhancing their commitment to the rules and ensuring the development of Emirati football on professional bases.
“These workshops contribute to creating a deeper understanding of the laws and their application, which enhances the quality of performance on the pitch and reduces violations, with a focus on players’ safety as a primary focus,” said Leo Probert.
This initiative represents an additional step towards achieving the highest professional standards in the management and development of Emirati football and is in line with the requirements for licensing football clubs.
