Al Ain loses to Egypt’s Al Ahly 0-3
Al Ain lost to its host, Egypt’s Al Ahly, with a score of 0-3 in the match that was held this evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup 2024.
The first half ended with the home team leading Al Ain by a single goal.
Al Ahly’s trio were scored by the Palestinian international striker Wessam Abou Ali, (32), Imam Ashour, (55), and Mohammed Afsha from a penalty kick, (90+2).
With this result, Al Ahly progresses to the FIFA Challenge Cup, awaiting to face the winner of the match between Pachuca and the Copa Libertadores champion from the South American Football Confederation, at 974 Stadium in Doha on December 14th. The winner of that match will face Real Madrid at Lusail Stadium four days later for the FIFA Intercontinental Club Cup title.
