Al Ain restores the top position of the Under-23 Pro League with Mame Niang’s double goals against Baniyas
After a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Baniyas, Al Ain restored the top position in the Under-23 Pro League, in the match that was held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium this evening, in the 17th round of the tournament.
Al Ain managed to deliver a disciplined and cohesive performance, through which they managed to establish their excellence early on. Mame Niang scored both goals in the first half (13’’ & 42’’), taking advantage of Al Ain’s excellence and control of the game to put his team ahead before halftime.
In the second half, Al Ain continued to control the game along with maintaining their defensive balance and managing the score effectively to emphasize their triumph until the final whistle and earn three crucial points in maintaining the lead.
Therefore, Al Ain raised its tally to 36 points, sitting at the top the standings of the Under-23 Professional League, while Baniyas’ tally remained frozen at 21 points in tenth place.
