Al Ain secured a 2-1 victory over Khor Fakkan in the opening week of the Pro League U23 tournament, with goals from Rilwanu Haliru Sarki and Saif Al-Shelbi.
“The Boss” kicked off their journey with a strong start, clinching their first win at Khor Fakkan’s Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium. Al Ain took an early lead in the first half, thanks to Saif Al-Shelbi’s penalty in the 45th minute and a second goal from Rilwanu Haliru Sarki in the 78th minute.
Khor Fakkan managed to pull one back with a goal from defender Brian Christian Lemos in the 59th minute, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.
This victory earns Al Ain their first three points of the tournament, while Khor Fakkan remains without a point.
