Today, the state hosted the first tour of AFC Champions League Cup for the Elite 2024-2025, while the Asian Football Confederation has selected the city of Al Ain for several reasons, most notably for being the home city for the champion of AFC Champions League football tournament in the first and the last editions of its previous system, as well as for the fact that it represents the prefect touristic destination in light of its strategic location, as well as its archaeological and historical treasures that are scattered throughout many parts of the city and its suburbs.
