The city of Al Ain witnessed the organization of 94 sports events during Hafeit sports challenge. The launch of basketball and residential neighborhoods football tournaments coincided with a variety of competitions. The events were hosted over the residential neighborhoods pitches at the city of Al Ain, among which there are 16 matches through the residential neighborhoods football tournament, while basketball tournament witnessed four matches at Al Qatarah, besides 6 matches through institutions football tournament.Boutshi tournament has also been organized for the people of determination within four different areas within the city, as well as eGames tournament (PlayStation) which included 64 games in the round of 32 qualifiers up until the final match.
Patronage and attention for the players
Salim Bin Hadhiram Al Katibi, who is the chairman of the tournament’s supreme organizing committee, was keen to check on the status of Abdulrahman Ali, who plays for Al Ain Pharmacy team, after sustaining an injury during his team’s match vs Al Ain “A” team, and he instructed to keep up with his medical condition up until the completion of the treatment course.
In his turn, Abdulrahman Ali, who plays for Al Ain Pharmacy team, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the great attention which he received, then he said the following statement: “I have never seen in my life such appreciation and great organization, I cannot find suitable words to express my gratitude and appreciation for the patronage and follow up which I received. Thank you from my heart to the United Arab Emirates and the organizing committee over this big event that befits the name of the beautiful city of Al Ain.”
The biggest trophies in the region for the running races
Among the thrilling competition atmospheres, the organizing committee of Hafeit sports challenge announced a financial award of up to 90K AED for the winners in the running challenge at Hafeit mountain, will be in Al Mibzarah Al Khadra’a.This award is considered the biggest in the region for community running races, where participants have been divided into six competing categories, which include the following distances of 1 km, 3 km, and 5 km for the two categories of citizens and open for both women and men.
