Al Ain juniors lose to Pakhtakor in AFC Champions League

Al Ain suffered their first loss in their continental journey during the current season against their Uzbek visitors, Pakhtakor, with a score of 1-3 in the match held this evening as part of the fifth round of the Group stage in Group A.

Al Ain took the lead in the first half with a goal scored by the junior player Issa Khalafan (18′). However, in the second half, the visitors managed to make a (Remontada) with three goals scored by Arkanov (55′, 62′) and Sieran (78′).

Despite this loss, The Boss “Al Zaeem” retains their position at the top of Group A with 12 points. Meanwhile, Pakhtakor enhanced their chances of qualifying by reaching the seventh point in second place. Al-Fayhaa, KSA stands in third place with 6 points, while Ahal, Turkmenistan sits at the end of the Group with three points.

Argentine coach Hernan Crispino was keen to involve young players, giving everyone a chance to demonstrate their abilities and they made a good performance in the second half before the visitors’ experience enabled them to return in the second half, during which the key players of the team were rested.
