Ahmed Barman, Al Ain FC football player, asserted that his team is required to show the highest level of performance in Jeddah in the match against one of the best football teams in KSA in order to achieve the target of the team to repeat the result of the last match between the two teams in “the Jewel”
“We realize that our mission will not be easy especially that Al Ahli have lost its chance to keep the national title and its main focus in the current season is to show its strong presence in the continental tournament.” He elaborated.
“We respect the aspirations of the opponent team. However, we came to Jeddah with a clear objective of showing a powerful performance that enables us to go back home with a good result. We realize that the opponent have excellent players in all lines. Nevertheless, Al Ain also has the best players on the continental level,” Barman said
He noted that the team players have the utmost desire to continue the good results that are fit to the name and the reputation of the Emirati Football on the regional and continental levels.

Zoran: Al Ain required to show best against Al Ahli
Zoran Mamic, the Croatian Coach of Al Ain Football Team, asserted that his team came to Jeddah to make a great match against “one of the best Suadi football clubs”.
He said, “We expect a strong match, especially that Al Ahli has unique elements and its performance in the match depends on the field organization. That is why we are required to show the best to return with a good result.”
“The strength points of the opponents are not in one aspect only. We expect the attacks to come from the right or the left wings or from the center. However, Al Ain has exceptional players who can play strong and achieve their goal against any team regardless the opponent name.” he continued.
Asked about whether his knowledge about the Saudi football will increase the chances of winning of his team, he said, “Surly, my leadership of Al Nasr FC for some time helped me to know Al Ahli FC well. I will not need a lot of time to analyze the opponent’s state. However, the National League is very different from the Asian Tournament.”
I think that Al Ahli and Al Ain are on the same position especially that both are out of the competition in their respective national leagues, the coach said, pointing out that it is clear that both are focusing now on competing for Asian Champions League.
Commenting on a question whether losing a gmae in the Champions League would make more pressure on Al Ain, Mamich said “I think the situation is the same for both teams. This would make the game fiercer.”
Regarding if the team will make use of Nasser Al-Shamrani, who has experience in scoring in Al Ahli, he replied, “Such question will be answered by the end of the match. However, the certain thing is that Nasser Al-Shamarani is a big name in the Saudi League and he played many matches in it.”
