Al Ain Team Supervisor, Abdullah Ali, expressed his satisfaction with the splendid atmosphere that the players experienced at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium last night following the end of the team’s match against Ajman.

He stated: “The magnificent scene exemplified the genuine meaning of consolidation among the one Ainawi family consisting of the club’s management, fans, Honorary Council members, partners, players, coaching teams, administrative staff, and all who belong to this lofty and big sports entity.”

“It is not a secret to tell you that before the kickoff whistle of the match against Ajman, and while we were in the changing room, we were expecting to see more fans in the stands. However, all of us stressed that fans who attended the match did their best and, as usual, contributed to boosting the team’s performance in the right manner. Therefore, I hope that next matches will see more fans in terms of numbers in all stadiums,” Abdullah Ali said.

In response to a question on the team’s preparations for the second leg match of the PLC Pro League against Al Wasl, he said: “Actually, preparations are being conducted as planned by the coaching staff. Therefore, the head coach has granted the players a 24-hour break, and training sessions would be resumed as of tomorrow in preparations for the quarterfinal match against Al Wasl at Za’beel Stadium.”

He added: “Soufiane Rahimi would not be playing the coming match as he flew back to Morocco to join his national team to play The CAF Africa Cup of Nations. However, the coaching teams will make sure the players who did not play the match against Ajman to be included in the team’s list if they are 100% ready for the match.”

On Meriah’s current health status, he said: “Yesterday, we contacted Yassine Meriah to check upon him following his successful surgery in the cruciate ligament. Meriah congratulated his teammates for the great victories they achieved. We all expressed his sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery and to rejoin the lineup of the Al Ain squad and his national team.

Commenting on a question on the news that Colombia’s defender, Danilo Arboleda, signed to Al Ain Team, he said: “The BoD of Al Ain Club Football Company chaired by Dr. Matar Al Darmaki approved the recommendation of the Pro Committee on the head coach report regarding the team’s requirements during the winter transfer market window. The committee works hard to sort out all the players’ contracts dossiers on time. Indeed, once any transfer deal is completed, the details would be announced officially.”

He went on to say that the team’s strategy is crystal-clear. “We are only focusing on the coming challenges considering that we are playing critical matches that dictate we must exert lots of efforts along with a high level of concentration.

He signed off by wishing the team all the best of luck in their coming matches.
