Al Ain Football Club Company has officially announced signing a long-term contract with Togo’s international player Laba Kodjo. The announcement has been published on Al Ain Club’s official website and social media platforms.
On this occasion, Laba expressed his sincerest appreciation and gratitude for Al Ain Club management and his pride and honor for their trust and decision to renew his contract.
Laba stressed that his relationship with Al Ain Club goes beyond the terms and articles of a contract.
“I belong to this lofty sports club, and I have enjoyed genuine feelings of happiness and comfort since I arrived in UAE,” he said.
Al Ain striker added: “Yes, I am gratified for being a member of the Al Ain Club that represents the real concept of one family spirit. This unique spirit dominates the relationship among everyone here and those who love this sports club, including the management, player, and fans.”
He also pointed out that one of the reasons for feeling happy to play for Al Ain Club is the charming atmosphere of the Garden City.
“The atmosphere here boosts the spirit of belonging to this great city, and it is not a secret to say that I am really “Al Ain’s son”.”
Responding to a question on the offers he received before renewing his contract, he said: “Yes, I received several offers, but I always discuss this issue with my family members, friends, and my agent. We tackled all the details of these offers, but my final decision was to stay and renew my contract with Al Ain Club.”
The league’s top scorer justified his decision by saying: “I feel happy and at ease here, specifically the spirit of one family that dominates the place here, as I stated earlier.”
Laba Kodjo concluded his statement: “By renewing my contract with Al Ain Club, I achieved one of my wishes as I want to play more and clinch more local and international titles, simply because my aspirations with the Boss squad will never go below the skies.”
