Al Ain FC announced that it has officially contracted with the international Japanese defender Tsukasa Shiotani for extendable two seasons. The details of the contract were announced during the press conference held on Wednesday evening at the conference hall attached to Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain Club and attended by H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Mazroui, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, Captain Sultan Rashid, Board Member of the Al Ain Football Club Company and the new comer, Shiotani.

H.E. Al Mazroui emphasized that Al Ain has already closed the Asian player’s file by contracting with the Japanese defender, Tsukasa Shiotani, who is replacing the South Korean, Lee Myung-joo. He explained that, “We trust that Shiotani will be of a pronounced added value following the notable confidence showed by our Head Coach, Zoran Mamic, in his skills and capabilities to be able along with his teammates to show their best and meet the ambitions of the Club’s fans, particularly as the team is in a very important stage in the challenge of the AFC Champions League 2017.”

Al Mazroui pointed out that Al Ain Club will keep on going on the track of victories and this could not be attained except through the generous care and support of their Highness the Sheikhs and the strong determination of all the players in the first team, as well as the eminent support that Al Ain has always had in all times in its pursuit to achieve the desired goals.

Commenting on a question on the validity of news talking about the Club’s negotiations with a Swedish striker, he said: “Indeed, Al Ain is in the middle of serious negotiations to bring super players nominated by Croatian Head Coach, Zoran Mamic, in his report handed over to the Professional Technical Committee by the end of the recent season. Absolutely, Al Ain will disclose immediately all the details of any new deal through the official channels of the Club.”

As for a question on the status of Al Ain’s young striker Youssef Ahmed following ending up his sixth month, he said, ” Al Ain FC intends to renew the player’s contract and the same applies to the player. However, there are minor details we need to agree upon and do not forget that Yousef is one of the Club’s sons.”
