Al Ain defender eyes 3 points of AFC Champions League opener

Al Ain Defender Ismail Ahmed has stressed the importance of winning the opener against Iran’s Sabzpoushan, the nickname of Zob Ahan Club that means (“The Greens”).
Being the frontrunner to win the title, Al Ain looks forward to breakthrough in the continental tournament, Ahmed said, pointing out that the squad is currently focused on the group stage and that each game is separately handled by the team.
It a new challenge in the AFC Champions League under Coach Zoran Mamic who is fully aware of the good start importance, the defender said, stressing that the team is ready to win and clinch the three points.
He noted that the game will not be a piece of cake. “But we are determined to win and take the points, with respect for the aspirations of the Iranian team,” the player said.
Talking about the backline unsatisfactory performance, Ismail Ahmed asserted that mistakes are made in football and all players should take responsibility of the loss and win as well. Concluding his statements, the defender wished being more focused and winning the game.
