Al Ain Settle For Draw Against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli

Al Ain settle for draw 2-2 against Al Ahli KSA in the match held on Tuesday in Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium as part of the 4th round of the AFC Champions League 2017 Group C.
Al Ain went ahead early through the “international” defender Ismail Ahmed after the lapse of only five minutes from the kick off. However, just before the break at “43” Al Ahli Saudi equalised through striker Omar Al Soma’s header.
In the second half, Al Ain succeeded in coming back to the match and score the second goal through a penalty kick at “84” to make it 2-1 by Al Ain’s Captain, Omar Abdul Rahman. However, in closing stages, Soma made amends in the 89th minute when he scored his team’s second goal to end the match by draw result 2/2.
By the end of the 4th round, Al Ain retreats to the third spot in the standing with 6 points, while Al Ahli KSA stays at the top of the standing with 8 points followed by Zob Ahan as the runners up with 7 points. Bunyodkor occupies the 4th spot with nil points.
