Committed to Support UAE Football Game to Serve its Best Interest

We Held a Meeting with the Coaching Teams to Identify the Team’s Needs

The Boss’ squad preparations during the FIFA days are underway and per the set plans developed by the coaching teams led by Ukraine’s Sergiy Rebrov, including playing two friendly matches against Al Amal City held on Wednesday 10th November 2021, Al Ain First Football Team Supervisor Abdullah Ali said in an exclusive interview with the Al Ain Media Office.

Noteworthy, the head coach gave a chance to 16 players of the first and reserved teams during the match against Al Amal City Team, given the absence of the international players who joined their national teams.

Abdullah Ali added: “The second friendly match is scheduled to be played on Monday 14th November 2021 against Baynounah Sports Club of the second division. We hope all will go as planned and gain the desired gains.”

Commenting on a question on the impact of the long stops during the season, he said: “Actually, Al Ain always remains supportive of the UAE football game and serves its best interests, especially the UAE national teams of various age groups. However, we hope that the competent committee in charge of arranging the schedules considers the importance of recovery period for “international” players, especially if there is enough time to give them breaks regardless of the matches schedules of certain European leagues.”

He pointed out that after the current FIFA days, teams would play only one match, and then that will extend for nearly a month, and “I believe that there could have been better! This would influence the technical level of the league. It could be avoided by granting the players a good time for recovery to determine the dates of matchweek 10 of the ADNOC Pro League. At any rate, this applies to all our competitors.”

Abdullah Ali stated: “It is not a secret to say that we had an extensive meeting with the team’s coaching teams and medical staff following receiving a circular on the league calendar. Preparations plans during the FIFA days and arrangements to play friendly matches, particularly a friendly match against Saudi Arabia Ittihad FC on 6th December 2021. All the requirements and needs stated in the reports submitted by the head coach and medical staff to the Professional Technical Committee.”

In response to a question on the status of players attending the medical clinic of the Club, he said: “The physiotherapist, in direct coordination with the team’s medical staff and close follow-up from the coaching teams and administrative staff, is following up the process of supervising the rehabilitation programs developed for Ahmed Barman and Khaled Al Blooshi who suffered from minor injuries. In addition, Laba Kodjo joined the physical rehabilitation programs which suffered from a minor muscle strain that prevented him from joining his national team.”

He signed off by stressing that all is set to bring them into form ahead of matchweek 10 against Al Jazira.
