H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, checked on Japan’s Tsukasa Shiotani health conditions who suffered a severe injury in his shoulder during Al Ain’s match against Al Wahda which ended by winning the home team one to nil on their field and among their fans.

H.E. Al Hajeri said: “We were briefed on Shiotani’s health condition during a meeting with the orthopedic specialist Dr. Hossam Rahma, who also confirmed after reviewing the medical tests and X-rays that the player should undergo a surgical operation which is scheduled to be carried out on Monday 6th November at Al Ain Hospital.”

“The injury suffered by Shiotani is very serious and the team is expected to miss one of the most important players in its lineup for a long period,” added he. He also commented: “Unfortunately he was deliberately hammered and hit by the opponent players. Regardless, of being a player of Al Ain or any rival team, players must be protected. This falls under the responsibilities of the referees and we will continue to call for the need to improve the performance of the fields judges. Also, we were about to miss the team’s captain Omar Abdul Rahman, who has just rejoined the team after recovery from his injury when he tackled by the opponent player without a ball while his foot is firmed on the ground.”

In this regard, Al Hajeri hailed the efforts of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) staff who tasked a medical team to monitor the player’s condition prior arriving at Al Ain Hospital and took all the medical and therapeutic procedures that are universally recognized after assessing his condition comprehensively. Concurrently, he praised all the dedicated efforts paid by Dr. Matar Darmaki, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company.

Al Hajeri confirmed that Al Ain fans will be kept informed on the details of Shiotani’s health conditions while commending the loyal Al Ainawi Nation’s role in embodying the concept of the one family by standing next to Al Ain Club’s management, technical staff and players.
