Head coach of the Saudi’s Hilal Ramon Diaz has expressed respect for the host team Al Ain before their game in the AFC Champions League quarter-final.

He said that his players are fully ready to face the UAE giants and clinch a positive result before the second leg to be played in Riyadh in September.

In the press conference, Diaz expressed happiness for being the domestic-double winners last season, pointing out that such achievement was accomplished thanks to the players’ understanding and applying of his thoughts.

“My team is ready to get more titles, though, we have to take it step by step, the Argentinian coach said.

He added that Al Ain is very good team, however it is only 180 minutes of play to reach the final, stressing that the Saudi squad has all potentials to be in the final.

We will play the game without the services of playmakers Nawaf Al Abed and Nicolas Milesi who are for sure “good players”, however, the substitutes are ready to prove their abilities in the field of play,” the coach said.

Commenting on a question if he will assign a certain player to put the Al Ain maverick Omar Abdulrahman under pressure, Diaz said “Amoory is the superstar of Al Ain and has high skill, but I cannot devote all my concentration to him.”

“On the contrary, my team will play putting all players under pressure,” he concluded.
