Al Katheeri: We’ll play Hatta on our way to the top
Talking to the media before encountering Hatta, Al Ain’s midfielder Saeed Al Katheeri stressed the importance of winning their postponed game versus Hatta.
“Our intention is to overtake Hatta and perch at the top of the table at the end of Stage 1 of Arabian Gulf League in order to make up for our exit from the President’s Cup competition,” he made clear.
Asked how his team would shake off their loss of the President’s Cup, Al Katheeri replied: “For great teams like Al Ain, a loss in football is not the end of the world; instead, it will push us to regain our balance especially that Al Ain knows well how to address difficult circumstances. Our goal is now clear; we’re intent on winning the AGL title.”
Al Katheeri ended with a message of appreciation for Al Ain fans for their everlasting confidence in the team; “Their strong support strengthen the players and drives them to achieve better results,” he concluded.
