AMER ABDULRAHMAN OUT OF UAE NATIONAL TEAM MATCHES WITH KNEE INJURY

The injury of Al Ain midfielder Amer Abdulrahman will leave UAE head coach Mahdi Ali with selection issues for the FIFA World Cup Russia Group B qualifier against at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Thursday evening.
In the last training session, Abdulrahman suffered an injury in his knee cartilage. The player is planned to visit a knee surgeon to get to know the player’s injury.
The footballer of Al Ain expressed sincere wishes to his teammates in the match against Japan and hoped that the national team would achieve the aspirations of the UAE people. Abdulrahman asserted that he wished continue the challenge with the team after being listed in the team lineup, pointing out that he would never object to the will of God.
He stressed confidence in the players who were chosen by Mahdi Ali, calling on them to do their best in order to achieve the desired results.
“The players of the national team are equipped with sense of responsibility, strong desire, fighting spirit and cooperation between all players, coaches and officials of the team,” Abdulrahman said, asserting that such would help his teammates in overcoming the “stubborn competitor”.
All the group teams have the same chances of qualifying, however, UAE should get a positive result against Japan, the midfielder said, commenting on a question about the team that has the most chances of qualifying.
