Al Junaibi Appreciates the UAE Embassy Staff’s Efforts in Riyadh and Hails Roles Played by KSA & UAE Football Associations

Amidst high morale, the Boss squad concluded their pre-match training session in the KSA capital, Riyadh, at the Leaders Development Institute football field, 10-minute away from the players’ accommodation.

All the team’s players selected by Portuguese head coach, Pedro Emmanuel, joined the training session as part of the preparations for the coming match against the Foolad Khuzestan Football Team. The playoff match of ACL-2021 is scheduled to be held at Prince Feisal Bin Fahad in Milz on Saturday 10th April 2021.

Upon their arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the Al Ain Team was received by the UAE Embassy staff in Riyadh and several KSA Football Association representatives. By the end of airport procedures, the Boss team left to their accommodation, nearly 45-minute away from the airport.

Salem Al Junaibi, the member of the Al Ain Club Board of Directors and head of the Boss delegation, expressed his appreciation for their critical role and sincerest efforts exerted by the UAE Embassy in Riyadh, the members of UAE and KSA football associations. He hailed the brilliance and professionalism they showed to secure the team’s highest comfort level per the two brotherly countries and health protocol adopted by the AFC.

Al Junaibi stressed that the Board of Directors chaired by H.E. Dr. Matar Al Darmaki is in direct contact and a close follow-up of all the players’ details to check on the team’s conditions.

He also stated: “There is also a direct daily contact with the UAE Football Association through the two points of contacts, medical and administrative officers, to follow-up all the medical and logistics support.”

He added: “The main theme we adopted is to adhere to the protocols and regulations in place. We were received by the embassy delegation and helped complete all the travel documents procedures upon our arrival at the airport.”

He concluded his statement by thanking God that all the team was subject to PCR test at the COVID-19 Screening Center at the airport. He confirmed that all results were negative.
