Pedro: We Did Not Invest in the Chances We Got in the Right Manner
“It is a fact that we only got one point out of the match following being held at a 1-1draw to Al Wasl,” Pedro Emmanuel stated in the post-match press conference of matchweek 19 of the league.
He pointed out that his team trained well for this match and knew that Al Wasl has significant players in the middle and front lines.
Al Ain coach added that his team did their best to dominate the match by using the available spaces to create chances to score. “This happened twice, and we were about to score, but we were not lucky enough to do so.”
He added: “In the second half, we committed to the plan and took the lead. Unfortunately, minutes and conceded the draw goal. Then, we got two chances through Laba and Bandar, but they failed to net the ball. Meanwhile, A Wasl got several chances to take the lead through Fabio Lima. We know well that any team scores in the dying minutes of the match will be absolutely the winner.”
