Bandar Al Ahbabi: looking forward to more victories
Bandar Al Ahbabi, Al Ain midfielder, underlined the importance of achieving victory against Sharjah next Saturday at HZB Stadium at Round 12 of Arabian Gulf League.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference, he said “we look forward to carrying on our victories. We’re shaking off our loss of the AFC title; we won the last two AGL games against Al Dhafra and Al Wasl; thanks for the support of our fans, who will hopefully show up next Saturday at the HBZ stadium”.
“We take every match as a final; this prompts us to do our best throughout all upcoming challenges to get the full three points. As we know how difficult it is to face Sharjah, we will spare no effort to satisfy our fans and achieve victory”, he added.
Originally a midfielder, Bandar was told by the coach to take on the right wing defender. “I will be wherever Coach Zlatko wants me to be; after all I am a member of Al Ain FC and will be always ready to give the best. So far, I am satisfied with my performance as a right wing defender; thanks for me fellow teammates who never ceased assisting me, and Coach Zlatko for trusting me and motivating me to give the best through following his directives”, he concluded.
