In the pre-match press conference held at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium to tackle the technical aspects of the coming match against Dibba FC, Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain stated that his team’s match against Dibba is one of the toughest games of the season, especially it comes after the strong match that Al Ain played against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal a few days ago as part of the AFC Champions League. “This impose new challenges to us as to the excellent level of preparation, be smart while dealing with the details of the coming match, showing the team’s genuine spirit fight and redoubling efforts to achieve our pre-set goals and we have to leave all the results we did achieve behind our back,” said he.

Zoran stressed: “My team insists and enjoys the massive desire to pursue their stunning results and exhibit a perfect level of performance which is consistent with the name and reputation of Al Ain.” He further pointed out: “The coming confrontation scheduled to be held this Friday face of Friday is the most important one for me, because Dibba has already caused a lot of problems for us during the past and current seasons. We are ready with the required seriousness and good focus to play against our opponent.”

In his response to a question that he repeated that Dibba is a major obstacle for Al Ain and in several occasions and press conferences, Zoran commented: “Maybe since I took over my responsibility as Al Ain’s head coach, I have not been successful in beating that team. It is true anyway that there is no easy game in the football world. Certain people think that playing against teams occupying the bottom spots of the ranking table would be easier than those at the top of the table. Personally, I see it vice-versa and look at such matches as more dangerous than facing competitors topping the table. At the current stage, mistakes are prohibited, especially that Al Ain is competing other teams to win several titles this season.”

On the general conditions of his team given the absence of Hussein El Shahat when the team played against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and Berg’s injury during the same confrontation, he said: “I gave the whole team a one-day break yesterday and today we will assess their level of readiness. However, I am sure the two players will be ready to be in the team’s starting lineup when we play against Dibba.”
