Ali Abdullah, Team Supervisor, acclaimed the dedicated efforts exerted by the squad during matchweek 9 of ADNOC Pro League against Al Dhafra and the other past matches. He also hailed the actions of the coaching teams to prepare the team by handling the pressures of the tight schedule of the league during October 2021.

He pointed out that the team achieved the pre-set goals and won all the challenges relying heavily on working in the spirit of one team and not individuals. It is a collective effort exerted by the management, coaching teams, players, and loyal fans for sure.

Ali Abdullah added: “We played against a tough team, especially in the defensive part, but Al Ain Team showed its strong character and succeeded in dealing with the match in the right way. It is certain that the Boss restoring its normal position is a positive sign and serves the best interest of the UAE football.”

“We thank God Almighty for moving forward in achieving the pre-set goals through performing well in most of the matches. We hope to continue to show the spirit of fighting to realize the desired ambitions and goals set by the administration before kicking off the current season. Now we have the FIFA days and will resume work shortly in preparation for the next stage,” he said.

Commenting on a question on the Bandar and Laba’s absence impact the team’s performance in Al Dhafra’s match, he said: “The absence of any key player in any football team definitely will directly impact the ideas, plans, and style of playing. However, Al Ain Team relies on its collective style of playing strategy to overcome all possible challenges and circumstances regardless of whether we miss a striker, midfielder, or defender. It is proven effective as its success is based on the principle of mutual trust among the players, coaching teams, administrative staff, and the fans.”

As for the players attended by the staff of the Al Ain Medical Clinic, especially after the sudden absence of Bandar Al Ahbabi last night, he said: “Actually, Bandar attended the training sessions of the team, but on the day before the match, he suffered from a sudden rise in his body temperatures. It was decided to exclude him from the last training session and not play the game against Al Dhafra. Thank God he recovered and is scheduled to join the UAE National Football Team

He went on to say that Khalid Al Blooshi had suffered a minor injury affecting the hamstring muscle during his participation with the UAE National Olympic Team. However, he confirmed that the player started the actual rehabilitation program yesterday under the supervision of the team’s physiotherapist and the medical staff in preparation to rejoin the team soon.

In response to a question on the short break granted to the players, he explained: “Firstly, I would like to commend the decision to include Khalid Eisa and Yahiya Nader in the UAE National Team lineup. We all hope that the national team will achieve the desired aspirations in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup and win all the remaining matches. As you know that Khalid Eisa, Yahiya Nader, Bandar Al Ahbabi, Mohammed Abbas, Caio Canedo, Laba Kodjo, Yassin Meriah, and Soufiane Rahimi have already left to join the national teams.”

Back to the question itself, he stated that Ukrainian Sergiy Rebrov granted the players a 3-day break. He added that the head coach also expressed his desire to play one or two friendly matches, and details would be announced in the coming days.
