Confirmed Berg’s Standing Ready for Ajman Confrontation.. Zoran: We are Required to Soldier on with Our Strong Results in AGL

The Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain First Team Zoran Mamic said that his team’s mission against Ajman will not be an easy one. He further explained: “The squad of the opposing team has a number of quality players. Yet, we are well aware of what we are required to do during Saturday’s match. Also, we are required to soldier on with our strong results in the Arabian Gulf league competition.”

“We certainly do not think about the past as much as we seek to present an honourable performance that will enable us to clinch the three points fairly and deservedly, though our preparations for this coming match was not at the optimal level for being away for four days as I was not feeling well,” said he in response to a question that result of matches between Al Ain and Ajman is often associated with scoring significant number of goals.

As for being sick in the past days and being unable to supervise the team’s training sessions and the tactics he will implement in the coming confrontation, he stated: “Yes, I did not supervise the training sessions of the team. However, we set up the plans for the training dedicated for the match against Ajman. They were all executed by my assistants as planned,” He added: “Personally, I know the capabilities of the opponent team who relies heavily on high-speed moves. This feature was explained to my players as to be superior to fast players is an issue that requires not to lose the ball easily or to commit mistakes.”

Commenting on a question on absences in Al Ain’s squad, he said: “All the players are performing their training well. On this Friday, Swede’s Marcus Berg who presented a notable performance with Sweden National Team during the matches of European World Cup qualifying playoffs, and will re-join the team in their training session and I granted him a day off upon arrival back to UAE. As for Omar Abdul Rahman, he will be absent for being injured. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Diaky will keep on in his training programs as he did not train for nearly three months and a half. Therefore, he will play in the Reserve League before joining he starting line-up of the first team in the coming matches.”

In response to a question on the team’s style to be adopted when facing Ajman in the back line, he said: “Certainly, I don’t talk about my style of playing before any confrontation as this is a special issue related to my team.”

He added: “Al Ain’s encounters are all important, especially as the competition to win the title of the Arabian Gulf League comprises 22 matches.” He concluded” “Therefore, we are required to focus and continue achieving strong results and be ready for each match. This incorporates that we have to deal with all our matches with the same level of power and importance.”
