Sultan Rashid presented gifts and certificates of appreciation to the distinguished teachers, namely: Mohammed Hassan Salem Al Wahdani, Rashid Mohammed Al Ghaithi, Ali Salem Ali Al Naser, Yousef Hamdan Sa’eed Al Ameri and Mustafa Al Qadi.

Al Sahbani expressed his deep appreciation for teachers’ efforts and stressed their significant positive role in society. He stated: “We do highly appreciate all the sincere efforts that teachers have been making all over the world. In this occasion, honoring teachers comes as part of the framework of Al Ain initiative to interact socially with vital issues, particularly that honoring teachers is considered as “a gesture of loyalty to people of pronounced giving” for they are the basic pillar of the educational system.

“The appreciation of teachers’ mission and pride in their role falls within the overall vision of UAE Wise Leadership aiming at developing the educational system in UAE to be a world-class system and be able to keep pace with UAE’s plans by its involvement in UAE knowledge economy. Indeed, experiences of developed countries prove that the teacher stands behind the remarkable progress of the education system in these countries,” said Al Sahbani. He went on to say: ” Therefore, the exceptional attention paid by UAE to the teachers and the pride of their mission and role is an investment in the advancement of education in UAE and moving our country forward.”

He added, “H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, described the teachers as the backbone of our greatest asset, that is the human being. This is because they bear the honor of preparing future generations to continue building and developing UAE. This emphasizes the exceptional status of teachers that our wise leadership attach to them since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who believes that the teacher’s mission goes beyond their educational role to include participating in building national citizens capable of taking responsibility in various national workplaces in the future.”
