We Look Forward to Seeing Our Loyal Fans Behind the Team in Al Nahyan Stadium
The Team Should Not Lose Any Further Points
We Trust the Squad’s Quality Skills to Realize the Loyal Fans’ Aspirations

Iraqi head coach of Al Ain FC, Ghazi Fahad devotedly stated that since he has been assigned the head coach the whole squad agreed to adopt the principle of dealing with all the matches as finals as the current situation would turn worse due to losing more points.

Ghazi, in the media conference for the matchweek 11 of the Arabian Gulf League against Al Wahda scheduled to be held at Al Nahyan Stadium on Saturday 28 December 2018 at 08:30, put an accent on the fact that he has full trust that all the squad’s players would perform honorably and be able to achieve the desired result. “We did feel it during the recent training sessions. They all have been highly motivated to do their best to achieve the best results.”

“We truly confident that we will see the Ainawi fans behind the team to boost their moral and trigger their motivation to win the home team and back to Al Ain City with three points in hand. We do respect Al Wahda, but our team is all set to win the match,” Al Ain head coach stated.

Responding to a question on the general atmosphere prior the Derby, he said: “I have known the squad’s players since long time. I trained the majority of the stars of the first team and worked together in various occasions during the away training camps. Indeed, I know them well.”

He added: “We are fortunate that Laba Kodjo, Rayan Yaslam, Mohammed Fayez, Bandar Al Ahbabi and Yahiya Nader have joined their teammates in today’s training session. We hope all the players will be fit to play the clash match against Al Wahda. Today we would assess their degree of readiness and fitness.”

As for giving the chance to Saeed Jumaa to play in his original position of play, he said: “Saeed Jumaa is a distinct player and has a bright future. He is skillful as a defender and midfielder. We have already tackled the issue of the team’s backline and addressed this issue with the players; defense indeed starts from the front line and this is what we are trying to handle currently.”

“All statistics show that the team conceded five goals in the last three matches which is ahigh rate. We will work hard to fix all mistakes and put things in order.”

Ghazi concluded his statement by confirming that Algeria’s Abdul Rahman Meziane would not play the Derby match and that the coaching team would assess the players’ fitness and readiness for the coming important match.
