Zoran Mamic, the Head Coach of Al Ain FC, emphasized the importance of Al Ain’s confrontation with Al Sharjah Team scheduled to take place on Wednesday in the penultimate round of the Arabian Gulf League, despite losing the chances to win the title.
Al Ain Head Coach said, “We will be working to achieve the strong results, which was the title of the last two matches we played at the local and continental levels. We will strive hard to achieve an advanced position in the standing table of the league.”

Zoran Mamic pointed out, “In the last few stages, Al Sharjah has shown an advanced level of performance. They were so organized in all their lines. Indeed, we are well aware that they are trying their best to look good in the final matches of this season, specially following their loss in the semi-final stage of the President’s Cup.”

He commented on the question regarding Al Ain’s chances to snatch one of the qulifying card to the Asian Championship 2018, he stated, “Football is linked to a number of circumstances and we are required to wait for the results of the other competitors during the coming two rounds before the end of the season, add to that Al Ain should maintain their amazing and strong results,” he added, “However, we still have a chance to qualify and get top spots in the standing table to represent UAE in the AFC Champions League. We know well it will not be an easy task and anything could happen in the football world.”

As for the absent players during the coming match, he said, “We will certainly miss the efforts of Brazilian Caio Lucas and the defensive midfielder Ahmed Barman for suspension, besides the players suffering from injuries. We will assess the level of readiness of all players during the last training session, but this is normal for us. We have on the bench a group of young players and we will adopt the same tactics and do our best in the pitch to come back home with the three points.”
