At the beginning of his speech at the introductory press conference for his team’s match against Al Jazira, postponed from the 13th round of the ADNOC Pro League, Al AinArgentine coach, Hernan Crespo, congratulated everyone on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, stating that: “actually our team’s results during the last ten days were disappointing, but we should to return to the path of victories in the next match in the ADNOC Pro League, then think about the AFC Champions League semi-finals and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup final.”
Commenting on a question about the procedures he took to confront the deterioration of the team’s results, he said: “Committing some mistakes obliges us to work to minimize them appropruately, and not converting our opportunities into goals cost us a lot, in addition that we do not have enough time to work on implementing the set strategy and recover from stressand fatigue, as the team plays a match every three or four days, and the first 11 players who will be at the required level of readiness will be included in the main squad. Personally, I have confidence in Al Ain players’ capabilities and ability to get the three points in the next game.”
Regarding his assessment of Al Jazira’s status which had become difficult until its technical staff was finally changed, he said: “I think we have some problems that we must work on solving them, so I do not prefer to talk about Al Jazira’s status. Personally, I respect the ambitions of all opponents, but I always think only of my team.”
