Ahmed Al Shamesi, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, confirmed that the in part presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at the match gave everyone in the stadium a sincere feeling of happiness and pride.

He considered seeing H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the stadium as the actual crowning of sports and athletes, and there was undoubtedly no loser in the final match yesterday.

He also stated that: “It is my pleasure to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of the Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council, President of The Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, on the occasion of winning the first titles of the season. Indeed, His Highness’s extraordinary care and generous support led the team to the coronation podium.”

He added, “I am also pleased to congratulate the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company, the players, the coaching and admin teams, the medical staff, all members of the Club and Ainawi Nation. The fans were a key partner in the new achievement and are behind crowning the “Boss” with all titles throughout the history of our great club.”

In response to a question on the team’s preparations for the Al Dhafra match, he said: “It is certain that the celebrations of the PLC Pro Cup have ended this morning after the team kicked out their training sessions in preparation for the clash match against Al Dhafra scheduled to be held on Saturday 7th May 2022 at the Al Dhafra Club Stadium. The team is focusing now on recovery after the fatigue and exhaustion they experienced.”

Al Shamesi went on to say: “I would like to thank the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company, chaired by Dr. Matar Al Darmaki, for approving the recommendation of the coaching teams and medical staff to stay prepared behind the door camp in Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the end of the holy month of Ramadan, specifically on the second day of Eid Al Fitr after the end of matchweek 21 of the ADNOC Pro League. Modifying the preparation program aims to synchronize the players’ biological clock. As you know, because the training used to start late at night during the holy month and the matches, in addition to returning to the team’s diet after fasting.”

He concluded by saying that the camp is scheduled to continue beyond the Al Dhafra match.
