Hernán Crespo, the Argentine manager of Al-Ain, started his speech at the introductory press conference for his team’s match vs Khor Fakkan, saying: “We do respect all football tournaments, and we are looking forwards to show our competitive spirit up until the end. In our upcoming match on Monday, we will defend in reliance on the players who played fewer minutes than their teammates, so we can offer some rest for the on-field players who will play at the first leg final match of AFC Champions League in Japan. In my opinion, they will perform very well.”
Hernán Crespo expressed his gratitude to Khor Fakkan team for their initiative, which is represented in their decision to accept the request to relocate the match and postpone it 24 hours, asserting: “I am well aware that it is not easy to take such a decision, but Al-Ain FC is the state’s sole representative at AFC Champions League, while playing one match every three to four days at different tournaments is something difficult for the team, so I would like to extend my gratitude for their understanding, I also will not forget to extend my gratitude to Pro League as well.”
