With the presence of the coaching team, administrative staff and U-16 team players and prior the kicking off the training session, Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director, awarded Mohammed Omar Al Kaitheri, goalkeeper of Al Ain U-16 Football Team, the Best Player Prize for September in Ahmad Al Rashedi Football Field.

Sultan Rashid stressed that adopting the innovative idea of “Player of the Month” is based on Al Ain Club keenness to adopt the best practices to develop the skills and performance of all the Academy’s players regardless their age categories. He stated: “This comes as part of our efforts to consolidate the professionalism concepts and instill the spirit of competition in them to keep pace with the indicators of improvement in all behavioral, academic, state of mind and socially through embodying the spirit of cooperation among them and promoting the spirit of the one family in line with the vision and institutional values of the club.

He added: “The adopted criteria based on which the prize is awarded are not only limited to the player’s performance during matches and training sessions, but there are other important aspects also to be considered in assessing the players’ performance indicator, in addition to his technical and physical levels, including conformity with the technical and administrative instructions, showing highest levels of discipline in attendance and leaving timings, cooperating with his teammates and on top comes his academic achievements which allows the candidate to get 10 points.

The Board Member underlined that winning the monthly prize means that the player is shortlisted to join one of the big European academies in summer recess and prior the kickoff of the coming season. “This will boos the players’ aspirations and motivate them to follow the best practices which would qualify them to win the monthly prize.” He signed off by wishing all the young players the best and be lucky enough to realize their personal goals.
