His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Steering Committee of Al Ain Football Club Affairs Management, received today at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium the Argentine new head coach of Al Ain, Hernan Crespo. This comes after the latter completed the official procedures to take over the coaching and technical responsibilities of the team, which currently leads Group A in the AFC Champions League and which qualification was announced for the Round of 16 as the first team from the western part of the continent, and competing for all local championships.

The Chairman of the Management Affairs Committee of Al Ain Football Company welcomed the new coach, emphasizing that the management’s confidence in his person is based on scientific criteria and practical data relevant to his coaching abilities, crowned by a successful achievement in the region. He also highlighted Crespo’s advantage as one of the world’s football stars, known for his proficiency in dealing with players. He wished him and his coaching staff success and pertinence in achieving their aspirations with “Al Zaeem” of UAE football.

In turn, Hernan Crespo expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his valuable trust and professional treatment which is a custom in the greatest club in Asia.
