David Platt Appointed Sports Director at Al Ain Football Club Company

In accordance with its statutory and organizational structure, Al Ain Football Club Company has officially announced appointing the 15-year experience in UK clubs, David Platt, as the Sports Director.

On his turn, Mr. David Platt expressed his most profound appreciation and honor for joining one of Asia’s best and most prominent clubs.

He stated: “Administrative jobs in big clubs are extremely denuding, and you have to redouble your efforts to meet all the pre-set objectives as per the strategic plan and vision of the Club. This necessarily requires you to align and keep pace with the success indicators to achieve the highest levels, i.e., technically, administratively, and financially.”

Platt added: “I reviewed all the strategic plans and objectives set by the football company regarding the administrative and organizational aspects of the Al Ain Football School, Football Academy, and the first team. The Board of Directors has recently approved the proposed work mechanism, which has already been put in place.”

He mentioned that the new work mechanism adopts promoting the principle of enhancing communications amongst all sectors and working within the team spirit in the upcoming stages.

Noteworthy, David Platt holds an MBA degree with honors from the “The University of Liverpool” and a Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology from John Moores University and a Higher Diploma in Science and Football”.

He also enjoys the practical experience he gained through his work as a member of the UK Olympic Committee. Working as the “Advisor in Performance and Lifestyle, as well as his talents as a scout and expertise in the statistical analysis of performance via modern technical systems at Manchester United first team, and a vast experience in financial sustainability and statistical operations in the English Premier League, and finally education and development of players in Liverpool FC.
